Manny Toribio
Board Member
Background
Manny Toribio, Business Development Lead for McClure a full spectrum professional firm serving public and private clients throughout Iowa, Missouri, and the Midwest. With 15 years of experience in higher education and local government combined. Mr. Toribio has served in varying leadership roles. Previously Mr. Toribio held administrator roles for Drake University and Prairie City and a planner role with Des Moines. Mr. Toribio’s background and experience includes maintenance of business development, client retention, client support, buildings & grounds, neighborhood development, planning, land use, zoning, public administration, urban revitalization, strategic planning, code enforcement, fundraising, and community development.

Education
He completed the undergraduate studies at Iowa State University and graduate studies at Drake University. He also hold an Educational Facility Professional certification.
Volunteerism
He enjoys being involved in the community and professional organizations. He is a board member and secretary of Hispanic Educational Resources Inc. He is also a project mentor of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute.

Awards
He completed the Community Leadership Program through the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute in 2016. He also received the Governor’s Volunteer Award in 2013.
