Brad is proud to have joined the Board of the Iowa Latino Center! As a child of an immigrant, he strives to help and support new Americans attain their dreams. Brad is proud to be an optimist and prides himself on his past efforts teaching basic reading and writing skills to Spanish and Portuguese speakers, of various immigration statuses, in both their mother tongues and in English.
While a native of New York City, Brad has grown to love the Midwest, especially the state of Iowa. He met his spouse, a native Iowan from Algona, while in graduate school in Iowa City, and has happily adopted the city of Des Moines as his home. Specifically, Brad admires and appreciates the hard-working, honest, and kind spirit of the people of Iowa.
He holds an undergraduate degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and his law degree from the University of Iowa. His broad and varied experience with the law and work in the public sector includes assisting with prosecutions at the US Attorney’s Office in Davenport, project management at the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole, and nonprofit management throughout the United States.
